Job Title: Livestock Handler- Cattle Receiver
Location: Green Bay, WI
Reporting to: Barn Supervisor
Job Description: We are seeking a dedicated and safety-conscious individual to join our team as a Livestock Handler. The primary responsibility of this role is to drive and receive cattle in our barn facility while ensuring the welfare of the livestock and maintaining a safe working environment.
Key Responsibility:
- Follow all safety protocols and company animal well-being guidelines
- Load, unload, sort, move and pend livestock
- Maintain cleanliness of the facility by performing general upkeep and cleaning tasks
- Interact courteously and professionally with producers, drivers and team members
- Operate equipment such as skid loaders as needed.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Basic Reading and writing skills in the English language
- Strong interpersonal and teamwork skills
- Safety- conscious with the ability to follow verbal and written instructions
- Prior livestock handling experience required.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to climb, stoop, kneel, reach, stand, walk, push, lift and grasp
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs frequently
- Work in various weather conditions and environments, including dusty areas and around livestock
- Must pass a company-administered animal handling test to ensure proper care and management of livestock.
